Combining Wool Applique & Sashiko Workshop Sunday May 1, 2022
Workshop focus will be on blocks Trillium or Bunchberries from Sylvia's Forest Friends BOM 2022. Learn how to combine wool applique with sashiko. We will cover design transfer and sashiko techniques. Create realistic wool flowers and embellish them with embroidery threads. You do not need to be a participant in The Forest Friends BOM. Techniques offered in this workshop apply to all of Sylvia"s Sashiko & wool designs.

1 skein of Sashiko thread
Pattern and instructions
White transfer paper
Presto Sheer stabilizer
Supplies to bring:
Small, sharp, paper scissors
Micro-serrated small scissors for cutting wool if you have them
Temporary starch based fabric glue pen. Available to borrow or purchase in class.
100% polyester or #80 Wt cotton thread for whip stitching wool appliqué.
NOTE: Threads for wool appliqué will be supplied during the workshop but bring your own if you have it.
Green, Red/Pink, & Gold embroidery thread. Available to use in class.
Something for lunch. Snacks, coffee, tea available.
